As a freelance multidisciplinary designer working across various creative fields—such as graphic design, video editing, motion graphics and web design—one of the high-quality digital asset resource platforms I highly recommend is Envato Elements.
Today, I’ll share my review of Envato Elements and explain why it has been an indispensable tool for my creative workflow.
What is Envato Elements?
Envato Elements is a subscription-based digital design asset platform originally from Australia.

2024, it offers over 20 million assets - all available for unlimited download with a fixed-rate subscription plan. I’ve been using their annual subscription for around three years, primarily for video editing and graphic design projects.
The variety of stock assets available for download is extensive.
This includes stock videos, photos and illustrations, as well as music assets like background music and sound effects.
There are also high-quality creative assets like templates for web design, including WordPress themes.
In August 2024, Envato underwent a rebranding and introducing a new logo.
The Envato platform itself is simple and user-friendly, with content on YouTube and other social media updated with modern, stylish designs.

For my video editing projects, the assets I use most frequently are video and music assets.
When I work for video editing projects, I often download video templates and assets for Premiere Pro MOGRT'S templates from Envato Elements to use for creating opening sequences and adding text overlays.
What I particularly like about Envato Elements is the variety of video assets available for Premiere Pro, especially the wide range of transition packs.
You can also download motion graphics templates in the .MOGRT format, which can be easily dragged and dropped into Premiere Pro.

I used to subscribe to Motion Elements, a Singapore-based platform for video creative assets.
However, I found that the quality of the stock assets and ease of use didn't quite match my needs, so I ended my subscription.
Now, I primarily use Envato Elements’ templates and Adobe Stock’s subscription plan for video content creation.
●Easy Filtering! Royalty-Free Audio Resources on Envato
For creative video editing projects, high-quality sound effects and background music are essential.
Envato Elements offers an incredibly convenient way to search for background music and sound effects by genre, mood (the feel of the track), theme, and even duration.
You can also filter by BPM (tempo) and specific instruments.
By narrowing down to royalty-free music, you can safely use it for commercial purposes, as well as on platforms like YouTube and other social media.
Since you can download both video templates and footage, as well as sound effects/SE together, Envato Elements is especially recommended for video editors and creators.
●For Graphic Design and Mockups: Envato’s Graphic Design Templates
Envato Elements offers not only video resources but also a wide variety of graphic design templates and illustration assets that can be used for brochure and product mockups.
The graphic resources I often use are mockups.
When creating mockup images to showcase how logo designs would appear in real-life settings or stores, I download and use Photoshop mockup files.
Additionally, there are media kit resources for social media posts and reels, which are useful for marketing professionals and those who work extensively on content design.

One of the unique features of Envato Elements is its 3D models.
You can preview them in 360 degrees on the Envato's site and download the 3D assets from any angle.
I often use them when I need realistic 3D materials for graphic design projects.

●Web Design Templates: Efficiently Achieving High-Quality Web Design
For those who frequently use WordPress, I highly recommend WordPress theme and plugin resources.
There is a rich collection of Elementor design templates, along with plenty of materials in CSS and JS formats that support responsive design.
In addition to high-quality WordPress templates suitable for online stores, e-commerce sites, corporate websites and landing pages, these resources can also serve as inspiration for web design.
How Much Does a Subscription to Envato Elements Cost?
Envato Elements offers a variety of digital assets that can be utilized for various creative content, but what is the pricing?
As of October 2024, Envato Elements has three subscription plans.
Note: Prices listed on the site are in USD.

For individual designers and creators, the Individual plan is likely the most suitable option.
This plan allows you to download digital assets without restrictions, and commercial use is permitted.
For businesses considering implementation, the Team plan can be selected for groups of 2 to 5 people. If you have 6 or more users, you would need the Enterprise plan.
In any plan, the annual payment is cheaper than the monthly payment.
For the Individual plan, the annual contract costs $16.50 per month.
This is the plan I am currently subscribed to.
How to Use Envato Elements Assets and Licensing?
● License Model
The licensing for Envato Elements is a clear and straightforward commercial license model.
Basically, you can download and use all materials for both personal and commercial projects (client work) .
If you cancel your subscription plan, you are prohibited from using the downloaded assets for other projects.
However, you are allowed to continue using any content that incorporates assets you have already downloaded.
● Prohibited Actions
Similar to other creative assets sites, redistributing or reselling downloaded assets is prohibited.
Additionally, you cannot use logo assets as a basis for products (like shirts or bags) by printing them directly.
This rule is consistent across other creative assets platform as well.
One important note is regarding music assets.
The use of music materials (BGM and sound effects) in films or broadcasts (TV or radio) is prohibited, but there are special conditions for indie films, so I recommend checking the licensing page and the assets download page carefully.
For video materials used in YouTube videos or on websites, filtering for royalty-free music will give you peace of mind.
● How to Use Digital Assets
Envato Elements has a unique method for downloading assets, which isn’t complicated. You simply "download and register materials each time you use them.
You create a folder for each project and download the materials you want into that folder.
For example, if you want to use a specific BGM assets in Project A and another Project B, you will need to create two project folders and download the BGM assets into each folder, totaling two downloads.
Envato Elements Review 2024: Is Envato Elements Worth It?
Honestly... it’s 100% worth it for me!
With Envato Elements, you can unlimited download high-quality graphics, videos and web materials.
This is especially efficient for video editors, as you can download video templates and audio assets like BGM all at once.
I recommend it not only for web and graphic designers but also for those involved in social media content design and corporate marketing.
Since it operates on a subscription model allowing unlimited downloads, you can acquire materials without worrying about the limitations typical of services like Adobe Stock or Pixta, which restrict you to a certain number of downloads per month.
